We hereby agree to the following as terms for ending the hostilities between the ‘Allied Powers’ – represented by The United States of America, England, France, Great Britain, and Italy - and the ‘Central Powers’ – represented by Germany and her allies:
ReplyDeleteFor their role in provoking the World War, we have mutually agreed that Austria-Hungary (or the nations of which it disperses to) shall take on the responsibilty of repaying the amassed debt of all nations involved in this war. All costs are to be limited only to items of whose nature or purpose was participation or affiliation of the war.
Austria-Hungary is no longer recognized as an independent nation and is ordered to disband immediately.
The Slavic people which inhabit the former Austria-Hungary lands are granted rights of self-determination, recognized by international law. They are also to receive access through land to the Baltic Ocean (formerly German territory).
The Balkan states are now liberated, and allowed to build their own independent democratic nations.
The independent nation of Poland will be created from a mixture of territory from a variety of countries.
The borders of Turkey are to remain the same.
The Romanians are to recieve a small strip of land bordering the former Austro-Hungarian empire (formerly German territory).
The nation of France is liberated, and all of the territory under Alsace-Lorraine has been restored to French control.
Italy's borders have been approved to follow nationality standards, and now includes the southwestern region of the former Austro-Hungarian nation, as well as southern Switzerland (Italian Alpine Mountains).
Germany's borders have been reduced by 35%, and the afforementioned land is to be evenly distributed between Britain and Italy.
Germany is hereby stripped of the land from which it received as a part of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk. The remaining province becomes purely Italian territory.
Germany must withdraw all remaining troops in Russian territory, and return them within German borders. Once accomplished, Germany is then ordered to reduce their military by 20%, and their navy by 10%. 30% of all German U-Boats are to be destroyed, and all production on war machines halted. The maximum strength of Germany's new army must stay within these strict limitations.
At the request of the United States, there will be no more secret alliances between nations, and free navigation of all seas for all countries and people will be granted. However, all economic barriers will maintain their current positions within their respective countries, and no impartial international colony agreement will be passed.
Finally, the League of Nations, set forth by the United States, has been approved by all countries present at this Paris Peace Meeting, and all have agreed to send representatives to this meeting annually.
We, the undersigned, agree to honor all of the above terms.

We hereby agree to the following as terms for ending the hostilities between the ‘Allied Powers’ - represented by the United States of America, England, France, Great Britain, and Italy - and the ‘Central Powers’ – represented by Germany and her allies: the demilitarization of Germany, the distribution of land from the German and Austro-Hungarian empires, and the right for any free nation to be formed. In regards to demilitarizing Germany, the current, standing army will be decreased by fifty percent in addition to the surrender of all submarines and all but twenty-five warships possessed by Germany. The border colonies that were lost from France in the Franco-Prussian war will be returned to their rightful owner. The territory that Germany gained in the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk will be divided into the following free nations: Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Latvia, and Estonia in addition to the expansion of Romania from the northern border to the eastern border of the Austro-Hungarian empire. The Polish will also have a port to the Baltic Sea, through current German territory.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to demilitarizing Germany, the Allied Powers of France and England have come to the agreement that forty-seven percent of all German overseas colonies will be joint-owned between themselves. Italy will receive the land that stretches from the eastern Swiss border to Montenegro, and 200 miles inland. In regards to the Ottoman Empire, the expanse of land that encompasses both the Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea coasts will be divided into east and west. Italy will have the western portion, and England will take the eastern.
The Slavic peoples in southern Austria-Hungary have the right to break off into a new country, or any nationality for that matter. The ability to break away from a mother country and create a new nation is given to all nationalities. Also, Belgium is to become a free nation once again.
However, most importantly, is the mutual understanding between - and among - the Allied Powers and the Central Powers that the use of secret alliances will be prohibited to prevent further war.
We, the undersigned, agree to honor all of the above terms.
